Tie Rack / Storage System

I ran out of room for my ties along time ago. I have two of these tie racks with each hook doubled up and two hangers holding the overflow. This isn't the best way to store ties, and it makes it difficult to pick out a tie for the day.

This week I decided to build a new tie storage system.

Here is my new tie system, on the wall, with my ties on the shelves (thanks for the help Carey). Although the picture only shows the top half. The rack is 2 sections, 18 inches wide and 6 feet tall and holds only 152 ties. I already have 129 ties on the rack. 23 more ties and I'll have to build another section.

Looks great! Can I ask for more of the dimensions? How deep was it?

Thanks.
I built it out of 1"x3" boards. I did two sections, each being 18" wide and 6' tall. The Shelves are 3" apart.

To do dividers for each tie it would need to be about 20" wide to allow enough space for the 4 ties per shelf. Let me know if you have any other questions.
