There have been and currently are quite a few fires burning in Idaho. Just to give you a visual, here are a couple of pictures from my commute to and from work, just a couple of days ago.
This isn't fog or clouds that you see.
And these fires are far enough away that I can't see the flames during the day or the glow at night. When I finally get to work I have the campfire smell stuck in my nose and am unsure if it is just in my nose or if my clothes smell like campfire too. I'm very thankful that the fires aren't anywhere near my home and that my family isn't in danger.
